I read for escape, as a writer examining craft, and to connect with others. My favorite classic is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. My go to genre is creative nonfiction."

“Reading has meant everything to me more recently, I loved it as a child and got back into it last year. It has been so fun getting immersed in stories and it bringing me all the happy and sad feels. My favorite genre is thriller/mystery and some romance.”
Why do you share book content? “I do book content to express the way that reading makes me feel! I’m able to do that with the content that I make and also to connect with other book lovers and share recommendations!”

I've been an avid reader since I was in diapers, forcing my dad to read and reread books aloud to me until I basically had them memorized (it helped that he was so good at doing all the voices!). Books have been my solace for as long as I can remember and for whatever problem I had. When I had a bad day, I had the words of someone who's been there before to encourage me. When the world got to be too much for me, I could read about far-off fantasy worlds to take me away from my real-life problems. And as a late-diagnosed autistic person, I used books to learn about my unique brain and get me the help I needed. I owe everything to literature. It's probably one of the biggest reasons I'm still here today.
CURRENT favorite genres: sci-fi/fantasy (currently making my way through The Stormlight Archive), horror (just finished Maeve Fly and loved it), anything LGBTQ+, and any litfic that will introduce me to cultures I know nothing about (I'm about halfway through Last Night at the Telegraph Club; it has been amazing so far!).
Favorite authors: RF Kuang, John Green, Toni Morrison, and Stephen King.
